Bamboos

There are many types of Bamboo, all hardy enough to withstand the normal British winter. The commonly used varieties are the tall growing yellow & black stemmed types ideal for the larger garden they create a good screen if planted in a clump. There a a few smaller lower growing types ideal for a smaller garden which will not become as invasive.

Bamboos are excellent plants for creating a focal point or centre piece to a border. They can give the border height & structure from which you can work off with greatewr flowering plants.
